We had to migrate their own site to a new platform, WordPress. WordPress was built with compatibility in mind and they regularly add support for newer plugins every once in a while through their seamless update system. So, with the site now ready to operate in the new hosting server, we successfully implemented the newer plugins. Implementing them was a piece of cake, thanks to WordPress’s robust plugin management system. We also updated their front-end subsequently.
When our team first arrived at Checkmarx headquarters for a closer inspection, they found absolutely nothing that was wrong with the site, and yet they had a site crash right in front of our team. It took our team about 2 hours to figure out the root cause behind such random crashes. It turned out that the plugins that they were using were no longer receiving updates from the vendor that provided them. Due to this, the bugs that were in the plugins remained unpatched and were behind the random crashes.
With Php running on the server-side, thanks to WordPress, and Angular running on the client-side, all the random crashes were gone. Their site was stable and navigating through their site was now even faster, thanks to the newer technologies.
