SQL Escape

In SQL, escape characters are typically used in literal strings before any character whose meaning or behavior needs to be modified. It turns out that the character’s meaning is different from what people typically think it means. When retrieved or used, the literal strings or string values that are stored in columns with the varchar or string data type are also regarded as literals. These literal strings are nothing more than a series of discretely beginning and ending characters. In SQL, single or double quotes specify the beginning and end of a character. Backslash(\) is the standard escape sequence value in SQL.
