How do you convert a decimal number to a hexadecimal number manually?
• You need to divide the decimal number by 16.
• You need to use this as an integer division
• Make a note of the remainder. Write the remainder in Hexadecimal notation. If the reminder is 11 the hexadecimal value is B.
• Divide the result again by 16
• You need to repeat the step until you get the result as 0
• The hexadecimal value is the digit of the remainders from the last to first
• For example the hexadecimal value for 317547 is 4D86B
